"LessThanUThink" (Old Design Work)

I was apart of the Advertising Launch Team in college and its an opportunity that I will always be so grateful for. It taught me how to design with a purpose and design for a solution. We were implementing an anti- binge drinking campaign on campus titled "LessThanUThink". We were trying to send a message that it takes less alcohol than you think to become inebriated.  Here is some of my work.

David's Landscaping

I was asked by a friend of mine to work on a logo for a client of hers (who is also a church member). He owns a landscaping company and he needed a brand identity for his business so I decided to help.

Yes to Myself!

Being a college graduate is a Great thing but the downfall to that is diving into the real world. Trying to find a job is exhausting especially in this economy. So I have been doing a couple of side jobs here and there to help the time past and to gain a couple of dollars but I think it is just time to do it big. I am preparing to start my very own business as well as prepare for graduate school. I'm tired of being told no so I am going to say yes to myself. I have decided to call my design business.... (drum roll) "LovelyCreative" Even though I have a long way to go, I am confident in myself to succeed.

Old Black Hollywood

I love love LOVE the glamour and the classic look of old hollywood but I have an affinity to the Black actresses who often get forgotten. Dorothy Dandrige, Eartha Kitt, Josephine Baker, Billy Holiday and Lena Horne are some of my favorites. (I alternate their pictures on my desktop) These women were so talented and great at their craft and their faces make me want to work harder to my dream.

Old Design Work

This is some of my old school work but for some reason I still find it so relevant. So... I decided to post it!

Design Chair

When I was in college (which was only a few months ago... lol) I was the design chair in my sorority and my sisters put me to work. I was responsible for flyers mostly and I made sure that whatever I was working on had style and would attract a crowd. Here are my favorites!

My Sorority Sister ran for Homecoming Queen. She made top 5!

Posh's Blog

My sorority sister and very good friend, Courtnee (Baby Posh is what we like to call her) asked me to design a logo for her fashion blog and I was so flattered that she asked. She has great taste and for her to fall in love with what I created made me feel so proud. Here is what I designed!

P.S. Take a look at her blog at loveandposhion.com! :0)
